I am talking about Diabari in Uttara of the capital.  You can leave the concrete mess and spend an afternoon at Diabari, surrounded by nature.

The seating area is made of bamboo and wood.  Rows of foot-powered boats are tied up.  You can visit the lake by renting it by the hour.



A dead river will be seen in front of the lake.  It is a tributary of Turag River.  An aesthetic connecting bridge has been constructed there.  If you stand there, you will see the beauty of the crooked river.


How to get there?

If you want to go to Diabari, you have to go to House Building by bus running on Uttara route from anywhere in Dhaka.

In front of the North Tower or Mascot Plaza you will find rickshaws and laguna going to Diabari.  You can go directly to Diabari Battala by riding on the Laguna.
