Nikli Haor BD Kishorganj
A haor located in Kishoreganj district of Bangladesh. Its name comes from Nikli upazila, from where the haor originates. Apart from Nikoli, the scope of this haor extends to neighboring Mithamin, Ashtagram and Itna upazilas. Its distance from Dhaka is 110 km.
It is one of the largest freshwater wetlands in Bangladesh and a popular tourist destination. Easy road and rail connectivity with Dhaka is one of the reasons for the growth of tourism in this region. With the development of several residential hotels in Nikli, tourists are now getting the benefit of multiple day trips. July to September is the best time to visit Nikkool.
How to go?
First you have to reach Kishoreganj district town. After that Kaliachapara will go to Nikli Haor by using CNG from Sugar Mill area. It will take an hour. You can reach Howre within half an hour even after going down from Pul Ghat.
There are several residential hotels to stay in Nikli. You can spend the night there if you want. However, many people travel all day and return to their destination in the evening.
