Babu Dying BD Chapainawabganj
From a distance, it looks like undulating forest land.Tree after tree.A crooked creek of calm water flows through the part of Rajshahi's Godagari and Chapainawabganj Sadar upazilas. This forest is about 20 km nortmiddle. When you get close, you lose your mind on the top of the hill. There is no comparison to this strangely beautiful high-low land covered with thick green grass. Bird experts say that three rare species of birds have hatched in this forest. They are not seen breeding anywhere else in the country. This wonderful forest, named 'Babu Dying', ish of Rajshahi's Godagari upazila headquaters and about 10 km east of Chapainawabganj headquarters.Total area is 966.45 acres.
It is built in a beautiful natural environment. The once Babudanga is now known as Babudaing because of the high hills.
Varendra Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) has enhanced the beauty of the area by planting different species of trees in Babudaing, which consists of 26 small hills. BMDA planted about one and a half lakh trees of different species in this area 25 years ago.Currently there are only 20 to 25 thousand trees.Apart from planting trees, 5 ponds are also dug here.
A cross dam has been constructed on the naturally formed 2.5 km long lake, which is being used to irrigate the land. As the water of this crossdam flows at a high speed, it looks like an artificial spring. Apart from Chapainawabganj, visitors from surrounding districts come with their families to see the beauty of Babudaing. The traffic of people during winter season is much higher than other times of the year.
In the forest area, the paved road goes right up to the forest. A roundabout has been made at the end. All around are trees and trees. There is no public response anywhere. What the birds say in the tree is heard. The roundabout is much higher than the mainland. From there, the hill-like upland to the east is known as Babu Dying. Looking from that square, it seems like a strange undulating forest. There is a big creek in the middle.
A culvert has been constructed over the creek. Cross the culvert and walk through the grass on either side. Standing there, you will feel like a lost place in the middle of a wonderful natural beauty. On the southern side above the creek, vines have climbed up to the tops of tall trees.
There is no second in Barendra region to have such an extraordinary landscape.
