There are separate houses and breeding centers for butterflies. No one bothers the butterflies here, they roam freely in the flowers, eating honey. In the morning, afternoon, and evening they spread their wings. Color in the sky. Jahangirnagar's green campus has become a butterfly sanctuary. They walk all day long on the tip of green Banani, soft grass. They wake up before the sun rises. Another day begins. There are 110 species of butterflies in total of two hundred species of our country. And 61 species are new among them. The butterfly garden has separate rooms according to the characteristics of the butterflies. This butterfly garden is on 300 acres of land of the university. Professor of Biology Department. Manowar Hossain built this abode of butterflies in 14 years of effort. Jahangirnagar University's afforestation and biodiversity have made it possible. And the butterflies have also adopted the garden.
As butterflies are naturally bred in the butterfly garden, Manowar Hossain has set up an artificial breeding center in the zoology department. Butterflies born in that center are also released in the garden. So far more than hundred butterflies of two species have been born in the breeding center. And it is protecting many endangered species.

How to go:
You can board any bus from Dhaka's Gulistan, Farmgate, Kalyanpur or Gabtali to Nabinagar, Manikganj and get off in front of the campus easily. Rickshaw is the easiest vehicle to visit the campus.
