Bengal's Eiffel Tower BD Vhola
A huge tower. Looks just like the Eiffel Tower! Not exactly, but somewhat similar.
This huge tower is famous all over the country as the Eiffel Tower of Bengal. Visitors flock to enjoy the beauty of the tower during the day and even at night.
The name of the Eiffel Tower in Bengal is 'Jacob Tower'. It is located in the Charfashion town of Bhola Island in the southern part of the country. It is actually a watch tower.
From this tower, one can enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding area of 100 square kilometers. It is the tallest watch tower in Bangladesh and the subcontinent.
The tower is built like the Eiffel Tower. Everyone enjoys the beauty of the surroundings by riding this 16-storey watch tower.
Each floor can accommodate 50 visitors at a time. And the entire tower is ready to accommodate 500 spectators.
Jacob Tower is located 70 km from Bhola district town. The watch tower is located in front of Khasmahal Mosque on Charfashan College Road.
Although it was not named Jacob Tower at the beginning of its construction. The tower was named after Abdullah Al Islam Jacob, Member of Parliament for Bhola-4 Constituency.
The construction of this tower started in February 2013. The cost of Jacob Tower construction is about 20 crore rupees. Its height is 225 feet.
Charfashan Municipality has implemented the tower construction project on one acre land. Bengal's Eiffel Tower was designed by architect Kamruzzaman Liton.
The tower, made entirely of steel, can withstand earthquakes of magnitude 8. From the bottom of the tower to the top watch point, 5 mm diameter transparent glass is placed on the aluminum.
There is a capsule lift alongside the stairs to the top of Jacob's Tower. High power binoculars are installed at the top of the tower.
With the help of this, tourists can see distant places very closely. From here you can see Char Kukri-Mukri, Tarua Beach, Sapnadwip, Char Pial, Hatiar Nijhum Island and Bay of Bengal.

How to go?
If you want to go to Bhola, you must take the river route. Launches for Charfashan leave from Dhaka launch terminal every day. Single cabins can be found in these launches for 800-1000 taka. Cabin for two is 1800-2000 Tk.
The launch deck rent is Tk 200-250 per person. Go down to the launch ghat and go to Charfashan municipality by local transport for 70-80 taka. There are several residential hotels and restaurants to stay and eat.
