Meghna Village Holiday Resort is located at Baluakandi in Munshiganj district, just 1 km away from Meghna Bridge.  Meghna Village Holiday Resort is located very close to the capital city of Dhaka, making it an entertainment center suitable for day tours.


The resort is beautifully decorated.  A well-furnished reception upon entering through the main gate.  First of all, you will see the beautifully decorated portraits of dinosaurs, fish and tigers.



A mini zoo will be seen on the right side after entering the resort.  Where there are monkeys, Kalim birds, shy Hanuman, quail birds, crocodiles, rabbits, chitra deer, tortoises and many other things.  The resort has a beautiful garden with seating on the grounds.  There is also a small lake.



A mini park with rides like Pendulum Pirate Ship, Merrygo Round, Paddle Boat, Battery Car, Rocks, Cycle Ride and Mickey Mouse Bike etc., which is mainly for kids.  Kids will have a great time here.  To enjoy these rides one has to pay a fee ranging from Tk 10 to Tk 30.  And to enter the 20-seat 3D cineplex will cost Tk 30 per person.


There are two huge water fountains, bowling alley, badminton court and swimming pool. There are two ponds.  For those who love fishing, there is a special arrangement for fishing. There is a large field for sports where the whole family can enjoy football, cricket, badminton and other games.



For the food lovers, there are various food arrangements here.  A variety of local and foreign food is available here.  Also available are Barbie Q Kitchen and Barbie Q Garden.  There are also causeway bridge, garden restaurant, snacks corner and copy shop, picnic kitchen.  All the facilities to organize a picnic are available here.



One of the interesting aspects of this resort is that there is a jamdani and sweet factory inside it.  You can see how a variety of sweets and curds of high quality are made.  And you can buy jamdani sarees from the factory as you like by looking at the weaving of jamdani.


There are beautiful cottages to stay here.  There are 10 cottages here.  These cottages are surrounded by beautiful flower gardens.  You can spend some wonderful moments on moonlit nights in these wonderful cottages of Nepali Kaidar.


How to reach Meghna Village:

You have to go to Kanchpur Bridge from Jatrabari in Dhaka.  From there straight through Sonargaon to Meghna Bridge.  After crossing the Meghna Bridge, take the road to the left from Balukandi Bus Stand and Meghna Village Resort will be seen 1 km ahead.  Besides, if you want, you can go to the resort by the resort's own car.  That will cost Tk 1,500+.
