This scenic spot very close to Dhaka is enthralling the tourists.  That is why crowds can be noticed there during other times including holidays.

It is located in Perab village of Jampur Union in Sonargaon, just 10 miles east of Dhaka.  Its construction has been going on for almost 5 years.  It is the Taj Mahal of Bengal situated on about 18 bighas of land.

There is another 52 bigha of land around it for tourism.  Where you will see the natural environment and the chirping of thousands of unknown birds.

This Taj Mahal was built in private ownership.  Industrial filmmaker Ahsanullah Moni is the builder of Taj Mahal in Bengal.  Foreign materials like 172 artificial diamonds are used in this Taj Mahal.

All latest technologies are also used.  6 technicians were employed for its construction.  The builder had to visit India several times to model the Taj Mahal in Agra.

The Taj Mahal of Bengal was inaugurated in 2008.  There are 10 wonderful waterfalls for tourists to admire before entering here.  You will also find flower gardens and quiet seating areas around the Taj Mahal.

The exquisite stonework inside the Taj Mahal.  The graves of Ahsanullah Moni and his wife Razia are preserved inside it.  You will see four big minarets in four corners like Taj Mahal in Agra.

Also, if you go inside the Taj Mahal, you will see 'Rajmuni Film City Studio'.  Outside this there is 'Rajmoney Film City Restaurant'.  At the same time you will find restaurants, hotels and residential buildings there.

There are also Jamdani saree shops, handicrafts, clay jewelery and other goods shops.  There are various picnic spots around it.  If you want, you can also visit from those places.
