Bangladesh National Museum Shahbag Dhaka
Established on March 20, 1913, and officially inaugurated on August 8, 1913, the Bangladesh National Museum is located in Shahbag, Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
The National Museum has 44 exhibition rooms or galleries, as well as an archive, auditorium, library, archives, sinescape and film exhibition.
The Bangladesh National Museum was established by Lord Carmichael. On an average, more than 2,000 visitors visit the museum every day.
The museum has more than 63,000 artefacts in 47 galleries of the 20,000-square-foot, four-story building. It is also the largest museum in South Asia.
